Ary Farias will headline the main event of LFA 199 against the three-time Pankration champion on January 10, in California.

The year 2025 for the manauara Ary Farias promises to start on the right foot. A world Jiu-Jitsu champion in the black belt division by IBJJF, Ary already has a major commitment scheduled early next year in mixed martial arts.

Ary, who transitioned to MMA in 2014 when he fought his first professional match against Mauricio Alves at NCF, will now make his debut as the main fighter in an international event and will face Sabit Zhusupov at LFA 199 on January 10, in the city of Lemoore, California.

Ary Farias has a brilliant career in Jiu-Jitsu, where he has secured first place in the major competitions of the scene, but he is still seeking his place in MMA. The 36-year-old athlete comes off two consecutive victories, with the most recent being a split decision win over Carlos Veras for the Shooto Brasil bantamweight title.

Sabit, on the other hand, is an excellent striker and Pankration champion, with an impressive streak of 7 consecutive victories. The last time Sabit was defeated was nearly 6 years ago, when he was knocked out by Tarcizio Gomes in the first round.
