The São Paulo Court sentenced Erberth Santos to more than 14 years in prison.

According to the G1 portal, Erberth Santos was sentenced to over 14 years in prison in a closed regime for the crimes of rape and robbery. Fighter André Pessoa was also sentenced for robbery but was acquitted of the rape charge. The crimes occurred in August 2023 in the city of Três Lagoas (MS).

According to the Civil Police investigation, the defendants arranged a meeting with sex workers in the city. At the residence, Erberth raped one victim and robbed the brothel with André’s help. The sentencing decision was signed by Judge Daniel Scaramella Moreira from the 2nd Criminal Court of Três Lagoas.

Erberth Santos will be held accountable for the robbery and rape of a young woman who was 24 years old at the time. André was acquitted of the sexual crimes and sentenced for the robbery of five women.

According to the indictment, the crime was committed with great violence, with the victims being tied up, threatened, and assaulted. The police found 26 mobile phones and knives with the duo. The suspects’ actions were captured by security cameras at the brothel in Três Lagoas.

Erberth was sentenced to 14 years, 7 months, and 23 days in prison in a closed regime, along with a fine equivalent to 143 days.

The security cameras in the victim’s house filmed the actions of the perpetrators. In the footage, it is possible to see Erberth breaking into a safe, where about R$ 700 was stored, while André searches the fridge, seemingly trying to steal an item but giving up.

It is important to note that the conviction is in the first instance, and both individuals can appeal the decision.
